Got Sit Dog Training is here to help with all of your dog training needs during the upcoming fall season. Your dogs need some extra attention this time of year, especially if you're planning on taking them out into the wilderness for some hunting or hiking. We've put together a few tips that will help you keep your dog in good health and in good spirits all season long!
-Always have water on hand and be sure to restock your water supply whenever it runs low. Dogs can get dehydrated very quickly, so make sure you're always providing them with plenty of clean water.
-Be sure to pack a lot of food for your dogs. It's easy to forget how much they need to eat when they're not right by you and can't remind you by begging at the dinner table! Make sure they're getting enough food and they won't become distracted while you're trying to enjoy nature.
-Pack along some treats and keep them in a safe place, like the bottom of your backpack or perhaps in your pocket. This way you can reward good behavior whenever your dog does something helpful or interesting.
-Don't forget about sunscreen! Dogs can burn just as easily as people—better yet, since their skin is much thinner than ours.
Fall is an ideal time to get your dog ready for the changing seasons and new routines so that she can stay as happy and healthy as possible throughout the year, but because she doesn't know any different than what she's used to, it's up to us to set her up for success. Here are five tips you can use now to make sure your dog has a safe and fun fall.
