My dog was a rescue - about 10 times over. He has never had a home for more than one month. He bit me the day I picked him up from his prior home and I was his last chance. He is almost 2 and loves other dogs because that is all he has ever known in his shelter, pound, rescue life. So now he is learning to become a social guy one baby step at a time and learning that his family will never hurt him or put him in harm's way. He has had 5 different names and none of them have stuck until now. Now he gets regular meals, cooked carrots, green beans and yams with an occasional chunk of watermelon tossed in and gets to sleep in the house every night.
We love Got Sit because Cowboy is learning there are rules and a person to make decisions for him. He doesn't have to drive people away by biting them. We have a big world out there to explore and little people who would love to play with us some day!
