We were looking for a retriever mix to replace our former husky/german shepherd pound puppy who was in our lives for many years. We came across Dojo's litter in Tacoma, so while the kids were at grandmas for the weekend we adopted him. We have worked through alot mentally with him, he came to us at 9 weeks as a dog who cowered at any human touch and wouldn't leave his kennel. We have worked hard at socializing him and with 3 kids and 2 cats, it hasn't taken long!
Dojo has extreme anxiety combined with retriever energy that can prompt him to want to do some less than desirable things. Got sit has helped him and I have a way to intervene in those moments to help keep us both sane and happy!
