We met Dottie at a local rescue shelter that works to help high kill shelters in California reduce the amount of animals that need to be euthanized. After looking at several of the adorable dogs and just not feeling like any of them were 'the one' for us, we were informed that another room of dogs had just finished cleaning and could be viewed. I walked into the room and immediately saw Dottie (then named 'Ivy') all by herself in a kennel at the back of the room and knew she was going to be it for us. She was wearing a red bandana around her neck and greeted each of us with a lick on our hands. I asked if we could spend time with her. She was quite content on hanging with each of us and just as we started to discuss whether or not she should come join our family - she rolled over and beckoned us with her face to rub her belly. We were SOLD!
I heard about Got Sit from my boss. She brings her beautiful dog to the office and I was always so impressed as to how well behaved her dog is. As Dottie was getting settled into our home, she started to have more trouble with keeping herself out of trouble (our phone charging cable replacement expenses were on the rise), so I asked my boss for some advice. I sent a message to Got Sit and heard back from Marvin the very next day! In looking at my location he had Chris get in touch with me right away to come out for an in home consult (THAT DAY!). Chris made training a 'no-brainer' for us. It was easy, and straight forward. Dottie took a bit of work (smart, stubborn & sassy thing that she is) but with the tools we learned from Got Sit, she's happy, well behaved, and I can take her anywhere!!
