I have always had at least one dog in the family. In December of 2013 my 9 year old bully got sick. His larynx had collapsed. I also had a 12 year old boxer in bad health. We just wanted everyone to make it through the holidays. We celebrated Christmas but didn't make it to the New Year. The house was sad and quiet. Even the cat went into a depression and was mad at me for not letting the dogs in to play. The decision was made, we needed a pup. Not just any pup but a Bulldog pup. We searched for days. My daughter found him on line. He was the one. Described as a cuddlier we had to have him join the family. After a road trip to a major airport and a flight to Seattle we finally had our stubborn bundle of joy. He loves to please, loves to cuddle, refuses to be ignored and brings a smile to everyone he meets. Hercules is now 7 months old. He likes to hide under things, build forts with furniture and blankets. He loves to play with toys and chase kitties. A perfect match :)
Hercules loves to meet and greet everyone. He would not return when I called him. If he was outside and didn't want to come inside, he would look at me with that look of really?? I don't think so. He is a good dog but a stubborn bulldog that tests my limits. Everything I asked of him usually took multiple request. Unless it's time to eat. Thats where Got Sit came in, the training process allowed Hercules and I to communicate effectively, as well as made the bond we shared even stronger.
