Porter and Lager came from Montana. They were part of a rescue of many English Setters that needed help after their owner incurred medical issues and couldn't give their dogs proper care. The dogs lived in rural Montana in a chain link and cement kennel for about 6 years. The boys were emotionally bonded to each other and I adopted both to keep them together. I started out slowly introducing them to living in a home, exploring their backyard and taking walks in the neighborhood. There were many unfamiliar sounds that they had to get use too. Our walks consisted of 3 steps and stopping to listen and learn. After a few months, they settled into their new environment and were confident enough to start learning new things. That's when I contacted Got Sit to learn how to better communicate with them.
The trainers at Got Sit have taught me how to communicate better so the boys know my expectations. Porter and Lager are eager to please me, love affection and rewards. Got Sit is a great program and a very positive way of learning.
